Dennis Jackson C.F.P., PFP, MBA., currently holds the Chair position of United Way Centraide Canada. He is Past Chair of the Board of United Way Centraide Ottawa and also served as Chair of the Campaign Cabinet.
As someone who personally benefited from the work of United Way in the late ‘80s, he was keen to demonstrate his thanks in a tangible way. In recent years, Dennis has been actively involved on the boards for the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Motorcycle Ride for Dad (fundraiser for prostate cancer), The Elvis Sighting Society, and the Youth Services Bureau Foundation. He currently also sits on the Sprott Business School Advisory Board, and Telus Ottawa Community Investment Board.
Dennis recently retired as Vice-President for the Ottawa & West Quebec division of Scotiabank. He was responsible for successfully leading the Retail and Small Business Sales Teams, including Wealth Management. He is bilingual and obtained his MBA at Dalhousie University. He is a Certified Financial Planner, has his designation as a Personal Financial Planner and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He and his wife Dorothy reside in Ottawa, Canada. They have four adult children and 9 grandchildren who also all reside in Ottawa.
