Deb comes to United Way Centraide Canada with extensive experience in the community services sector. She has a proven track record of delivering transformation programs and services to improve the lives of people in the community.
She spent over five years as Senior Vice President of Community Impact at United Way Greater Toronto and has been Executive Director at East Metro Youth Services, children and youth mental health agency located in Scarborough, and at University Settlement, a neighbourhood community centre providing homeless services, daycare and more.
Deb also worked as a consultant supporting organizations on strategy, partnership and network engagement, and provided support to children’s mental health agencies across the country in her role at Capitalize for Kids. She spent over fifteen year in New York City working in a variety of organizations, including Safe Horizon, the largest crime victim organization in the United States where she led the organization’s response to the events of September 11.
Deb earned her Master of Social Work from New York University and has trained as a community mediator and executive coach.
