Marie-Karlynn Laflamme holds a bachelor’s degree in French literature and theatre from York University (Toronto), a master’s degree in business administration from UQAM and has graduate studies in organizational communications from Université de Montréal. She was a manager for more than 10 years at the Centre de santé et de services sociaux de Lac Saint-Jean, first as the senior advisor, communications and then as the director of the physical health program and communications, before assuming the position of Director of Communications and Public Relations at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in 2015. Her community involvement includes working with Centraide Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean for 14 years, serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for 10 years. She also chaired the Assemblée des Centraide du Québec for two years.
