What are the symptoms of the COVID-19 infection?

Those who are infected with COVID-19 may have little to no symptoms. You may not know you have symptoms of COVID-19 because they are similar to a cold or flu.
Symptoms have included:
• fever
• cough
• difficulty breathing
• pneumonia in both lungs
In severe cases, infection can lead to death.

What should I do if I think I have the virus?

If you develop symptoms of the 2019 novel coronavirus, call the Government of Canada novel coronavirus information line: 1-833-784-4397 (or visit Canada.ca/coronavirus) or contact your local public health unit from the list at the bottom of this page. Be sure to mention your symptoms and your travel history, including the countries you visited.
If you need immediate medical attention, call 911 and mention your travel history and symptoms. If you are looking for resources to help you cope with stress, call 211.
