The 211 service provides community support 24-7 in communities across Canada, offering free and confidential information and referral to millions of people. Every year, 211 Day marks a day to raise awareness of the vital role that 211 plays for people in need of community and government services.
In celebration of 211 Day this year, in communities across Canada 75 buildings, monuments, and landmarks will be illuminated in 211 red, for United Glow.
Why the Glow Matters
Behind every beam of red light is a story:
With the largest database of community and government services in the country, 211 ensures people are guided to the right support at the right time. These beacons are not only a brilliant display, but they are also reminders that help is only three digits away.
Join the Movement
United Glow is an annual, Canada-wide initiative led by United Way Centraide Canada aimed at promoting the 211 helpline.
