National Issue Paper Summaries

United Way Centraide Canada (UWCC) has developed National Issue Summaries to shine a light on the most pressing issues facing communities across Canada. As the national office supporting a network of United Way Centraides (UWCs) serving communities, we are uniquely positioned to connect research with local expertise to meet immediate community needs and tackle the root causes of complex social issues.

These summaries seek to define the issues, provide an overview of the key challenges, identify people most affected, outline the urgency, and showcase how UWCs are investing in solutions to issues of national importance.

As the largest non-government funder of human and community services, and a unifying force for social change, UWCs exist locally to serve those experiencing vulnerability in our communities and to create an equitable future for all. We are deeply committed to sector advocacy and value our donors and partners who make this research possible. Join us in the push to identify emerging issues and find solutions through research and knowledge-sharing.

These summaries may be used with permission and if properly cited. The citations are available within each document.
